PerceptEarth Survey

Participatory mapping study

How do outdoor places feel to you?

We are studying how people experience public outdoor places and how accurately a computer-generated map can represent these experiences.

You will be asked to mark at least five places that felt pleasant and five places that felt unpleasant in a city that you know.

For every location, you will indicate how pleasant or unpleasant it felt and select the reasons that contributed to your experience.

Please mark only public outdoor places, such as streets, squares, parks, waterfronts and other publicly accessible urban spaces.

Do not mark your home, another private address or a place that could identify a specific individual.

There are no right or wrong answers. We are interested in your own genuine experience.

Please mark only public outdoor places that you have personally experienced. We conduct a careful quality review to protect the reliability of the research. Random, automated, duplicated or deliberately misleading submissions may be removed and will not be eligible for the optional raffle. Thoughtful and honest contributions are greatly appreciated.
