Optional Raffle: Information, Rules and Privacy

Participation in the raffle is optional.

You may submit your research responses without entering the raffle. Choosing not to enter will not affect your participation in the research.

To enter the raffle, a participant must:

• Be at least 18 years old.
• Complete and submit the PerceptEarth Survey.
• Submit at least five pleasant and five unpleasant completed map points.
• Provide a valid email address.
• Give separate consent for processing the email address for raffle purposes.
• Pass the research team’s data-quality review.

Each participant may enter the raffle once. Adding more than five pleasant and five unpleasant points does not increase the number of entries.

The raffle takes place only after the research team has reviewed the submitted data.

Incomplete, duplicate, automated, randomly generated or deliberately misleading submissions are excluded.

Automated quality indicators help identify responses for review, but a researcher makes the final decision.

A response is never excluded because it disagrees with the PerceptEarth model.

Until the quality review is completed, your email address is temporarily linked to your submitted survey response. This is necessary to check whether the survey meets the raffle conditions.

If your response is approved:

• Your email address is separated from the research dataset.
• Your email address is placed on the list of eligible raffle entries.
• The research dataset used for analysis never contains your email address.

If your response is not approved:

• You are not entered into the raffle.
• Your email address is deleted completely.
• You will not be notified.

Each approved participant receives one raffle entry, and all eligible entries have an equal chance of selection.

Submitting more locations than the required minimum does not increase your chance of winning.

No purchase or payment is required.

Winners are selected randomly from eligible entries after the quality review has been completed.

Winners are contacted using the email address provided on the raffle page.

A winner must respond within 7 days. If a winner does not respond within this period, another winner may be selected.

The organiser will never ask for passwords, banking credentials or payment in order to deliver a prize.

Winners are not announced publicly.

On the raffle-entry form, an unchecked checkbox states:

I voluntarily enter the PerceptEarth raffle. I consent to my email address being temporarily linked to my survey response for the purpose of quality and eligibility review. If my response is approved, I understand that my email address will be separated from the research data and used only to administer the raffle. I have read the Raffle Information and Privacy Notice.

You are entered only after you submit a valid email address with this box selected. If you skip the raffle, no email address is collected.

You may withdraw from the raffle before the draw by contacting: perceptearth-project@helsinki.fi

Please write from, or mention, the email address you entered so that we can locate and delete it.
